Given the way to speak

she parts her lips only

to say what she can,

nothing.

Given the words to speak

yet withheld the words to express

she’d rather say

nothing.

She could either fall back into
the arms of humble practicality
or walk the tightrope of

self-expression.

To contain the voice of two tongues
is a burden to any mind but

to also cage two voices –

unbearable.

To convey her sense of hem,

how it feels to andas Swedish air
she is incapable, bound by logic

and devoid of

sentimentality.

To have that void is a sentiment

in itself, it says what it cannot say.
She continues to feel

nonetheless.

No matter what is scrawled on the

blackboards, written in the books,
there will always be the dreaded
choice.

To think or to express,

to visualise or to act

att visualisera eller att agera

Forked tongues.

Communication is not always

about receiving a message,
but an inability

to speak.
